We believe that there is one God, three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (1 Timothy 2:5) He is the creator of the universe and is all powerful, all knowing and everywhere. (Genesis 1:1)

The Bible

God is perfect (Matthew 5:48) and He never changes. The Bible is the Word of God and is the same now as it was when pen was first put to paper over the course of Biblical history. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

The Bible although written by men is inspired by God. This is not the Bible we know today but the original language in which God selected men to write down his words for the people.(2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe that God has given us His Word so that we can find the only way to salvation from His judgment to come. We read in His word that only through His only Son the Lord Jesus Christ we can find grace in His sight and escape our judgement.

John Chapter 3 verse 16 says:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Through the Word of God we learn of the way of salvation. It is also through the Word of God that we take instruction on day to day life and service for Him. We don’t do it out of a need for religious repetition to maintain salvation but of a simple faith in following what he wants us to do. (2 Timothy 3:14-17)

The Lord Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ the only Son of God loved us enough to come down to earth to be born, live a sinless and perfect life among mankind. He substituted himself on our behalf. He endured God's judgment of sin on the cross and died for the sin of the world. (Romans 10:9)

After His death, He rose again the third day and therefore cancelled the judgment of death for those who trust in Him. Jesus Christ is alive today and will one day come back to earth to claim those who have put their trust in Him; both dead and alive.

Romans chapter 10 verse 9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Just because the Lord Jesus died for the sin of the world doesn’t automatically mean everyone is saved. Each and every one of us needs to believe and put our trust in Him in order to have salvation. (Romans 6:23)

Salvation

Salvation means to be saved from danger.

When Adam and Eve did wrong back in creation, sin and death entered the world. Like Adam and Eve we are guilty and we must be punished for the wrongs we have done. (Romans 5:12) But God has made a way that we can be saved from punishment. God loves the sinner, not the sin.

Salvation must be a freely made conscious decision by each individual to believe and put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Then when we have salvation we are permanently indwelled by the Holy Spirit so that nothing can ever separate us from God again. (Romans 8:39)

Just as the Lord rose from the dead to new life, those saved are baptised through full immersion to symbolise a new life with Christ. It is not our baptism that saves us, it is our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:4)

The good news, the Gospel (Mark 16:15) is that there is a way of salvation from our sin and the judgement to come. He is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).

God’s word tells us He is the only way into heaven.

Acts 4:12

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved
